Literary FUN requires some thought. It requires some planning. It requires an invitation in the form of a book.

Literary FUN requires costumes.

It requires traditional party games to be altered.

Pin the tail on the donkey becomes, help the hungry caterpillar become a butterfly.

Literary FUN requires party guests to make their own book, of course.

And all books include a page about the author.

Literary FUN requires a cake based on a beloved book.

And an explanation for party guests so they will appreciate all the thought and planning required to achieve Literary FUN.

Literary FUN requires literary-themed party favors.

And lastly, a creative way to disperse said party favors.

How about a game in which the guests sit in a circle and are randomly handed an item from a bag? They listen as the book Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day is read aloud. They are told to pass the item they are holding 4 times to the left each time the reader says, "it was a terrible, horrible, no good, very bad day." At the end of the story whatever item the guest is holding corresponds with the book he/she will take home.

YES, that should do the trick! With some thought and planning and following these required steps, Literary FUN is sure to be achieved.
